Taking place in the late 15th century is a story about two enemy kingdoms. With the division between them, a highlander known as Prince Bryce MacPhearson kidnaps the princess of the foe, Akira MacKenzie.

Bryce wants peace but knows that a pledge made by his father and the other king must first be full filled. The pledge requires a MacPhearson to marry a Mackenzie, Akira is the only daughter in her family. Whether she likes it or not, Akira is brought to enemy territory and forced to marry. Little does the princess know her captor may not be who she thought he is.

Some things are out of control, but God has purpose for our lives. Will Akira find her purpose despite being kidnapped? Will the Bryce see Akira as more than a prisoner?

 The story goes beyond the kidnapping as Bryce discovers that there is a traitor in the MacPhearson kingdom, one who threatens the chances of peace. The traitor may not be an obvious suspect.
